On the downside, there aren't many country proxies supported by ZenMate - although it's likely more will be added as it develops. By default, your internet traffic is routed through Switzerland but you can change it to a UK, Hong Kong, US or German proxy instantly. What's really nice about ZenMate is the ability to switch between countries instantly. To manage it, just click on the green shield. The ZenMate status bar sits in the top-right corner of Firefox and turns green when you are protected. You don't need to sign-up or enter any activation codes, although it is questionable why a service which claims to allow you to surf anonymously requires any e-mail address. Once you've installed it Zenmate, you simply have to enter your e-mail address to activate it. However, it does require your email address in order to setup. As regards how much it can genuinely protect your privacy, there can be no guarantees but ZenMate claim to take privacy issues very seriously.
If you want to use services such as Hulu, Netflix and Pandora outside of the USA, then ZenMate does an excellent job.
